About

     Educated at the University of Virginia, Jones first became interested in neurological surgery and (more specifically) the management of pituitary disease, while doing clinical research as an undergraduate student under Professor John A. Jane, Jr., MD.



     His hobbies include writing about the American Civil War. In that field, he is co-author of the peer-reviewed book, "Gateway to the Confederacy: New Perspectives on the Chickamauga and Chattanooga Campaigns, 1862-1863" (Louisiana State University Press, 2014).



     His clinical interests include stereotactic radiosurgery, endoscopic transsphenoidal pituitary surgery, stroke prevention, pediatric cranioplasty cases, as well as the surgical management of hydrocephalus.
