My name is William Charles Watters III, MD. I am a graduate of Harvard Medical School and a Board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon who has been in clinical practice for more than 35 years specializing in the treatment of adult spinal conditions. During this period of time, I have been a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, a Clinical Associate Professor at the Baylor College of Medicine and am currently a Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch, the Weill Cornell College of Medicine and the Institute of Clinical Medicine at the Houston Methodist Hospital. I have been involved in the teaching of medical students, orthopedic residents and spinal fellows at these institutions. In addition, I have more than 250 publications and presentations and am a Past President of the largest medical society in the world devoted solely to spinal care, the North American Spine Society, as well as a Past-President of the Texas Spine Society. I have served on many committees at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and the North American Spine Society and I have rendered medical opinions in several hundred legal cases concerning spinal injuries.
