About

Kevin Schlidt is a second year medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He obtained a Bachelor of Science at the University of Wyoming where he graduated with a major in Physiology and a minor in both Neuroscience and the Honors program. His earlier research experience at the University of Wyoming, which can be found in the journal Scientific Reports, explores the impact of high salt diets, high fat diets, and obesity with respect to addiction and risk taking behavior. In addition to his research involving pediatric wheelchair mobility, he is also currently involved in a project updating the clinical practice guidelines for treating septic arthritis and acute hematogenous osteomyelitis at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. While Kevin is currently undecided as to what field of medicine he wants to practice, he remains particularly interested in surgery. He was raised Wyoming, where he developed a love for the outdoors and open spaces.
