Gerald R. Williams, Jr., M.D., is the Director of the Shoulder and Elbow Center at Rothman Institute and a Professor of Orhopaedic Surgery at Jefferson Medical College. He has hospital affiliations at Methodist Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, and Riverview Surgery Center. He obtained his Medical Degree from Temple University and completed a fellowship in shoulder reconstruction at the University of Texas in San Antonio. Dr. Williams is a former president of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, and has held other positions in various medical societies. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a member numerous professional societies such as the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow, the International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has held editorial positions with numerous journals, and has written over one hundred peer reviewed publications.
